    - Explain how the game is played. Give an

    - Display the words face up on the board. Give
    students one minute to memorize their set.
    - Divide the class into two groups. Do not
    allow students to write anything down.
    - Show the set of cards for 30 seconds. Then
    cover them again. In their groups, the students
    try to write down many words as they can
    remember.
    - Check the answers as the class.
    - The group with the most correct words wins
    the game. Praise the winner.
    - Tell students what they will learn in this
    lesson.
    II. PRESENTEATION (8 minutes)
    1. Look, listen and repeat. (Track 77)
    + Objectives: To help the students understand
    and correctly repeat the sentences in two
    communicative contexts focusing on asking and
    answering questions about someone's favourite
    subjects.
    + Procedures
    - Context a:
    Ben: Hi, Linh. What subjects do you have
    today?
    Linh: I have English, science and maths.
    - Context b:
    Linh: I like art. What's your favourite
    subject?
    Ben: It's PE.
    - Ask students to look at Pictures a and b and
    guess school subjects by asking some questions.
     Who are they?
     Guess what they are talking about
    - Ask students to look at Picture a. Play the
    recording for them to listen.
    - Play the recording again, sentence by
    sentence, for students to listen and repeat.
    - Repeat the same procedure with Picture b.
    Correct their pronunciation where necessary.

    - Elicit the missing words in the speech bubbles
    and write them on the board. Get students to

    - Put students in groups of four to ask and
    answer about someone's favourite subjects. Go
    around the classroom to offer support where
    necessary.
